11.4.1. Locks of doors

Locks serve for deduction of doors in a closed position during the movement, on the parking and at the road accident.
Locks of doors — automatic action, bifurcate type. At the expense of teeths of a rotor and a cam full closing of a door (on the main tooth) and incomplete closing of a door is provided (on safety tooth).
At the movement with incompleteness the knock arises the closed door, the movement with a barefaced door is inadmissible.

Till February, 2000 on forward doors locks which design is shown in fig. 10.11 were put.
The lock (fig. 10.11) consists of three parts: locking mechanism 19, lever mechanism 20 and thorn of a clamp 18. The lock can be dug out outside of and from within a cabin, it can be blocked as outside, and from within a cabin at completely closed door.
For opening of the lock outside of a cabin the external handle 7 with the drive serves. If to undertake the external handle at not blocked lock and to pull on itself, then the door will open. At the blocked lock the external handle has a free wheeling.
For opening of the lock from within a cabin the internal drive 4 serves. If to turn the handle of the internal drive (to pull) on itself at not blocked lock and to push a door outside, then it will open. At the blocked lock the handle of the internal drive has a free wheeling.
For blocking of the lock the lock 15 switch, and from within — the button 7 of switching off of the lock outside serves. It is impossible to block the lock at an open door outside, from within a cabin. External and internal blocking are connected with each other, and impact on one type of blocking automatically causes operation another.

Prevention
Fastening of the locking mechanism demands check of its reliability. If to close a door with the weakened fastening of the locking mechanism, the door cannot be opened neither outside, nor from within.


For replacement of the locking mechanism it is necessary to unscrew two screws, to remove the mechanism, to replace new, to install it on a door, to check operation of all drives and correctness of closing of a door, if necessary to check adjustment of drives and a thorn * a clamp.

For adjustment of a thorn it is necessary to weaken its fastening, to move in the necessary direction and to tighten.
For replacement of the external handle or the switch of the lock, and also for performance of adjustments of external and internal drives:
- to remove the window regulator handle (for forward doors);
- to remove the socket of the internal drive 6 (see fig. 10.11);
- to remove a hand-rail on a door;
- to remove the limiter of opening of a door and a clip of the lever of the limiter (for a back door);
- to remove an upholstery of a door and antinoise laying;
- to turn off bolts of fastening of the external handle and to replace the handle;
- to unbend the forelock of fastening of a lead of the switch and to remove a lead;
- to unscrew screws of fastening of the internal drive and to turn off draft 12;
- to unscrew screws of fastening of the locking mechanism, to remove the locking mechanism;
- to move in a door the lever mechanism with the attached details towards the assembly hatch and to disconnect a draft tip, to take out the internal drive and the lever mechanism with the remained details;
- to disconnect the external drive, to check its work; details of the drive have to move freely, and to oil the rubbing surfaces lubricating;
- if the lever mechanism is faulty, to replace new.
To carry out assembly and installation of details and knots upside-down, checking separately correctness of the executed adjustments and operation of drives.
Correctness of operation of the drive is checked at an open door after its installation for what by means of the screw-driver to transfer a rotor of the locking mechanism from situation "openly" to situation "is closed" on two teeth (the lock is closed completely), and then to turn the corresponding drive — external or internal. The rotor has to move from situation "is closed" in situation "openly". At a weak spring of it can not occur, then at the drive turned against the stop check a possibility of free movement of a rotor by means of the screw-driver, the zadevaniye at the same time is inadmissible. If it does not occur, then it is necessary to screw a tip of the external drive or draft of the internal drive on 2 turns and to check work again. After obtaining positive result to check work of system of blocking. For this purpose at an open door to translate a rotor of the locking mechanism from situation "is reopened" in situation "is closed" and to press a tip of draft 7 down, after that neither the external, nor internal drive should not open the lock.
The lock and its drives do not demand special service, at increase of effort in use hinges need to be oiled lubricating.
Since February, 2000 on forward doors the changed locks of the increased reliability (due to increase in coupling of teeths of a rotor and a cam and increase in accuracy of production of details) and the lowered noisiness of closing are put (at the expense of a mass covering of a rotor and a cam, a clamp and material of the basis of the locking mechanism).
Locks are manufactured according to the license of Brano (Czech Republic) and consist of the mechanism locking (an external part of the lock) 20, the mechanism lever (an internal part of the lock) 21 and a clamp of the lock 19. The lock can be opened outside of and from within a cabin, to block at completely closed door outside of and from within a cabin. If to undertake the external handle at not blocked lock and to pull on itself, the door will open. At the blocked lock the external handle has a free wheeling.
If to turn the handle of the internal drive (to pull) on itself at not blocked lock and to push a door outside, then the door will open. At the blocked lock the handle of the internal drive has a free wheeling.
For blocking of the lock the lock 15 switch blocking the lock keys of the corresponding series, and from within — the button 7 outside serves. It is impossible to block the lock at an open door outside, from within a cabin. External and internal blocking are connected with each other; impact on one type of blocking automatically causes operation another.
The changed locks of doors are not interchanged with locks of an old design by the connecting sizes and on a clamp design.
For replacement of the locking mechanism it is necessary to unscrew two screws, to remove the mechanism, to establish new on a door, to check operation of all drives and correctness of closing of a door, to adjust drives and a clamp of the lock.
For adjustment of a clamp of the lock it is necessary to weaken fastening screws 17, to move it in the necessary direction and to tighten (other operations on replacement of various knots are similar to operations with the design lock till February, 2000).
Locks of a side and right door of a back, their external and internal drive, system of blocking on a design are similar to systems of the lock of a forward door of a design till February, 2000.
