Steering of the car consists of an adjustable steering column with shaft and a wheel, the steering mechanism and the drive of steering. The design of a steering column (fig. 7.1) allows to change the provision of a steering wheel on height and a tilt angle.
The steering mechanism (fig. 7.1) consisting of the screw with a ball nut 33 and a shaft sector, is mounted in an aluminum case which by means of a special arm fastens to the left longeron of a frame. Transfer number of the steering mechanism — 23,09 (in a middle part).
The screw with a ball nut 33 is installed in a case on two radial-stop bearings which external holders are pressed in a case and in the top cover of steering, and internal holders of a napressovana on the screw of the steering mechanism. The moment of a pro-collar of the screw of the steering mechanism is regulated by means of the laying 30 established under a cover of the steering mechanism.
At rotation of the screw balls are rolled on the special channel therefore the ball nut moves. Balls are made with high precision and differ from each other no more, than on 4 microns. The mechanism knot consisting of the screw, a ball nut and a set of balls is not subject to a razukomplektovaniye. High quality of processing and accuracy of the picked-up details ensures easy and smooth functioning of the steering mechanism.
The teeths the nut is in gearing with shaft — sector 41. The shaft of a bipod rotates on two cylindrical roller bearings which internal holder is the bipod shaft. Consolidation of a shaft of a bipod, and also cover of the steering mechanism is carried out by means of rubber rings. Fixing of external holders of bearings of a shaft of a bipod from axial movement is carried out by means of lock rings 38, and from angular movement — by means of a kernovka of external holders in the case openings closed by a stopper 5. The screw — a ball nut of the steering mechanism by means of the driveshaft connects to shaft of a steering column. Fastening of forks of the hinge on shaft is carried out by means of a wedge 48 (see fig. 7.1).
The column of steering fastens four bolts to an arm of pedals of coupling and a brake. The shaft the helmsman of a column rotates on two ball-bearings. Adjustments of bearings of a shaft the helmsman of a column in use is not required.
The steering wheel is established on conic vents of a steering shaft and fixed by a lock washer and a nut.
