1. Introduction

Since 1995 JSC GAZ releases motor vans with an all-metal body of GAZ-2705 (with a triple cabin) and GAZ-2705 of "Kombi" (with a seven-seater cabin).
Since 1996 at the plant the release of buses GAZ-3221 on 8 (9 *) passenger seats, GAZ-32212 — on 6 (7 *) passenger seats and GAZ-32213 — on 12 (13 *) passenger seats is mastered.
Motor vans are intended for transportation of small consignments, buses — for transportation of passengers across roads with a hard coating.
Taking into account operating experience and wishes of consumers at the beginning of 2003 on JSC GAZ modernization (restyling) of the specified cars is carried out, at the same time their appearance, technical and operational indicators is improved.
The changed plumage with oblique-angled headlights of the increased power is entered that provided increase in podkapotny space and allowed to establish by request practically all models of foreign diesel engines with the displacement up to 3 liters. Cars received new, more effective system of heating, the new dashboard of a modern form with the electrooperated crane of a heater and a new combination of devices with the electronic drive of a speedometer, more safe locks of forward doors. The 2-conical synchronizer of 1 — 2 transfers which allowed to reduce effort when switching these transfers is entered into the transmission.
This manual is a grant on maintenance and repair of motor vans and buses with a wheel formula 4х2. It is intended for technical officers of the centers and service stations, motor transport services and repair shops, and also for owners of the individual transport.
Recommendations about definition and elimination of malfunctions, and also instructions on dismantling, assembly and adjustment of knots of the car and their repair on the basis of ready spare parts are provided in the management. Lists of the lamps, bearings and cuffs applied on the car and also lists of the moments of an inhaling of responsible threaded connections, the products containing precious metals, and operational materials are specified in appendices 1 — 6.
As units and knots of the car are constantly improved, perhaps some discrepancy of the text and illustrations of the management of a design and to the volume of maintenance of the released cars. All changes will be considered in the subsequent editions.
