8.4.1. Removal of the steering mechanism

For this purpose it is necessary to make the following:
- to remove the forelock and to turn off a wedge nut on the steering mechanism, to beat out a wedge, having excluded its deformation and to remove a driveshaft fork from a mechanism shaft;

- to turn off a nut of fastening of a bipod and to remove a stripper of 7823-6092 (fig. 7.3) a bipod from a shaft sector of the steering mechanism;
- to turn off five nuts of fastening of an arm of the steering mechanism to a longeron of a frame and to remove the steering mechanism with an arm; to remove an arm from the steering mechanism.
