5.3.7. Power supply system

The power supply system of ZMZ-4061,-4063 engines is generally similar to a power supply system of ZMZ-4025,-4026 engines.
Differences are following:
- the drive of the fuel pump is carried out from the clown fixed on distributive to a shaft of inlet valves via the intermediate lever;

— the K-151 D carburetor (see fig. 4.29) differs from the K-151 carburetor in system of shutdown of supply of fuel (the economizer of compulsory idling);
— the system of shutdown of supply of fuel consists of the electromagnetic valve 32 operated by the controller of ignition 34 and the economizer of compulsory idling (ECI). EPHH is placed on the carburetor, the electromagnetic valve and the controller of ignition — under a cowl, on a car front guard;
- the controller of ignition operates the electromagnetic valve depending on the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine and depression in an inlet pipe;
- the system of shutdown of supply of fuel works as follows. At the released pedal of an accelerator and the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft of the engine more than 1650 min.-1 the controller does not give tension on the electromagnetic valve therefore via channels of the electromagnetic valve atmospheric air comes to EPHH which valve blocks the channel of idling. In case of violation of normal work of system of shutdown of supply of fuel (the engine is not launched, the engine "becomes deaf", the engine works unstably at the minimum frequency of rotation of idling) it is necessary to be convinced first of all of reliability of electric contacts of elements of system and reliability of connection of a hose of selection of air for the controller.
For check of operability of EPHH devices it is necessary to include ignition, to let and warm up the engine. Then from a motor compartment one hand to open butterfly valves approximately on 1/3 courses, another — to hold the electromagnetic valve. To sharply release butterfly valves. At the same time the electromagnetic valve has to be switched-off, and at decrease in frequency of rotation of a bent shaft approximately up to 1600 min.-1 the electromagnetic valve has to turn on.
The basic dosing elements of the K-151D carburetor are given in tab. 4.5.
Adjustment of system of idling is similar to the adjustment for ZMZ-4025, ZMZ-4026 engines specified in the present manual.
