5.3.10. Diagnostics of technical condition of the engine

Differences in diagnostics of technical condition of ZMZ-4061,-4063 engines in comparison with ZMZ-4025,-4026 engines the following:
— the compression in ZMZ-4063 engine cylinders less than 960 kPa (9,6 kgfs/cm2), the ZMZ-4061 engine — less than 820 kPa (8,2 kgfs/cm2) testifies to wear or malfunction of sleeves of cylinders, piston rings or to leakage of valves;
— at installation of pressure of oil the control manometer joins on an installation site of the sensor of emergency pressure of oil (a tee on a head of cylinders at the left, a carving conic 1/4");
— noisiness of the engine is checked by listening by a stethoscope during the work idling with the variable frequency of rotation of a bent shaft which is not exceeding 3000 min.-1.
The knock of pistons, piston rings, knocks of conrod and radical bearings (is not allowed when listening by a stethoscope), and also the allocated knock of piston fingers, knock and sharp noise of the chain drive of camshafts, sharply allocated knock of valves and pushers, the sharp knock and noise of high-pitch tone of gear wheels of the oil pump and its drive, noise of high-pitch tone or peep of a krylchatka and the bearing of the pump of cooling liquid (listened without stethoscope). The equal, unsharp noise of the chain drive of camshafts which is not allocated from the general background noise of gear wheels of the oil pump and its drive is allowed.
Possible malfunctions of ZMZ-4061,-4063 engines and ways of their elimination generally correspond specified for ZMZ-4025,-4026 engines (taking into account that on ZMZ-4061,-4063 engines, thanks to the hydraulic drive of valves, there is no need to regulate thermal gaps between valves and pushers, to establish an ignition advancing corner; the winter-summer gate is not installed).
Control fuel consumption for the rolled car should not exceed 10,5 l on 100 km.
