Care of cardan transfer consists in pulling up of bolts of fastening to a flange of the back bridge, fastening of bolts of an intermediate support to a cross-piece, fastenings of a bolt of shlitsevy connection of an intermediate shaft to back and periodic lubricant of hinges. Before greasing it is necessary to clear details of the cardan hinge of dirt, to remove a rubber cap. It is necessary to force oil before emergence it from cuffs of bearings (fig. 5.29). At the first maintenance at a run about 20 000 km, perhaps, oil will not come out all cuffs. At the subsequent maintenance as a result extra earnings of a cuff have to pass oil. Lack of an exit of oil at least from one cuff testifies to malfunction of the hinge: the oil channel got littered or the spring came off a cuff. Such hinge should be disassembled. Excess of lubricant is thrown out of the hinge at rotation of a shaft.

When checking carving fastenings of elements of cardan transfer observe the recommended inhaling moments:

- a flange of the back bridge — 27 — 30 N · m (2,7 — 3,0 kgfs · l);

- an intermediate support to a cross-piece — 12 — 18 N · m (1,2 — 1,8 kgfs · l);

- connecting bolt of shlitsevy connection of shaft of 40 — 45 N · m (4,0 — 4,5 kgfs · м).

Draw special attention to an inhaling of a connecting bolt of shlitsevy connection.

Before its pulling up be convinced of correctness of provision of a washer and lock plate.

Examine an intermediate support for the purpose of identification of existence of cracks and peeling of rubber from fittings.
